那天我在同学的指导下学会了上网聊天。嘀嘀嘀······谁呼我，啊！我一看信息，真逗人，这位朋友叫“文静”，我想她一定是个斯文、安静的女孩，才取这个昵称吧！我来了兴致，便把她加为我的好友。于是，我们海阔天空地聊了起来，很快，我知道她并不是一个文静的女孩而是一个调皮、活泼的女孩。她已经很努力地变成一个文静的女孩，可始终改不了这个性格，所以只是取这个昵称摆脱一下心愿罢了······

随着科学技术的不断发展，互联网已经成为一座拥有海量信息，开放的移动图书馆，我们可以从网络上收看新闻报道，可以从网络上查询资料，可以从网络上收看书籍；我们还可以从网络上聊天，交朋友；可以从网络上购买物品，寻医问药，休闲娱乐。
互联网也解决了我们很多问题，比如在疫情期间出现了钉钉这个软件可以让我们在疫情期间不用上学就能学习；出门买东西不用拿现金，可以直接用手机支付，不用担心钱的丢失。
但是互联网同样也给我们的生活带来了危害，比如有些人会沉迷于网络影响学习，工作和生活；有的人会恶意在网络上歪曲事实误导大众；有的人会在网络上谩骂、中满分作文网伤他人；有的人会在网络上实施诈骗，侵害他人的利益；大多数学生沉迷于网络，沉迷于游戏甚至可能影响到学习，包括在游戏中可能会花大量的钱去购买皮肤和装备。
而且在开放的互联网世界里，信息泄露，手机窃听等这些行为侵犯到了他人的隐私，给社会可能会带来恐慌和不安给我们也会带来伤害。

the internet is a wonderful source from which we can retrieve valuable information. moreover, it facilitates our communication with people far away from us at a cost substantially less than that of traditional means of communication. also, it can be an important building block to childrens learning because vast amount of information is only clicks away. there is evidence suggesting that computer use is linked to slightly better academic performance.
however, we have sufficient evidence indicating that the internet can be a harmful influence on people. for example, its addictive power has increased children and youngsters time spent in front of the computer screens at the expense of other healthier physical activities, thus increasing their chance of getting overweight and short－sighted. in addition, children have limited ability of telling right from wrong and therefore are subject to the potential contaminating influence of the harmful materials on the internet.
in short, the negative influence of the internet should be minimized by diverting people, especially young peoples, interest to other areas of life. like every other thing, internet is like a coin that has two sides. we must realize its harmful potentials while making use of it to achieve a better and more meaningful life.
